I agree, but I think he's firm on ANWR. He's more open to offshore drilling.

I listened to Congressman Darrel Issa, CA -R today on a local talk show. He is pushing the drilling issue in Alaska, Florida and California. He said that the cost to the US taxpayer per year for foreign oil is 500 billion dollars.

One would think this might be an incentive to start using some of our resources and apply that 500 billion toward the deficit.

Naw! What am I thinking?

Gas here in the Seattle area where we were today was $4.59 and right around there with pennies....Diesel was a staggering $4.99!!! Looks like the truckers are about due for a huge stop work and we are going to be in trouble receiving shipments to the stores....
