I think he is the one member of MSM who conservatives never had a problem with. He asked tough questions of all who went on with him but always with a smile and without the malice we often see on these boards. Every person has biases, and Russert had his. But you really, really had to look hard to find them. I think it is fair to say that amongst media figures, he was as close as one could come to being "fair". I think the facts of his personal life are probably even more amazing than his professional life, however.
