From what I have heard - and thankfully I have no direct experience - our courts are routinely full of bad people, some of them horrendous sick psychos not fit to remain in this world, at least not in open society. But the last time I checked, we don't deny them their day in court for just punishment under our laws. The fact that McCain is walking away from that principle cements the "third Bush term" message for me. The other stuff on immigration and GW is minor league in comparison.
