That's IF the weather turns ideal and if you didn't lose the fertilizer you put on. A friend took a 100 mile drive today and didn't see any corn or beans in even decent condition. Best was 6" tall and yellow, should be 3' tall and dark green. And our county is in better shape than most of the Corn Belt. At least 2,000,000 acres will be out of production of any kind due to flooding. Can't switch from corn to beans and plant under water. The herbicides aren't working, too wet. The USDA says the yield may be down 5% from the forecast. That's government bull trying to hold prices down. I saw this back in '93, then it turned off dry. Roots were shallow and when it turned dry the plants died. Plowed under with no yields but demand wasn't as high and we had a surplus on hand.
