J-50's are cool, but I've always thought that the Gibby adjustable bridge robbed a bit of tone. Still, I"ve heard many good ones with it. Gibsons acoustics became very suspect after they double-braced the tops in the late 60's/early 70's. That was a real bonehead move.

Check out the Juber. You can get the mahogany version for just under 3k. This is just not another signature model from Martin. This guitar was designed from the ground up to be special.
