Rather ruined his own career and disgraced himself - basing a pre-election story on obviously forged documents.

The myth that the press was ever pro-Bush is so preposterous only a mindnumbed robot like you could believe it. The press has been hostile to Bush since day one and was just as hostile to his Dad when in office.
