They really are remarkably similar, aren't they? Our country is just as protectionist and tariff riddled as the ones our leaders whine about. We also subsidize our industries as much as we ridicule European countries for doing. Just look at the Ethanol subsidies and Brazilian import tariffs! We TALK capitalism, and the ability to succeed or fail on your own, but nowadays it's just talk.

The only REAL and SIGNIFICANT differences I can see these days are:

1. We can openly discuss the intelligence of our leaders. The Patriot Act is the first step in getting rid of this freedom.

2. We get to choose which of the carefully chosen idiots presented to us gets into office, giving the illusion of free choice. Notice that all three presidential candidates are senators from the Clowngress that got us into this mess.

3. We have access to all media everywhere. Communists within this country and government are actively trying to restrict this in the name of national security and their personal morals.

4. The main industry in the US is now related to the production of weapons (planes, ships, tanks, guns, etc). This carefully concealed fact is one that very few Americans realize.

That being said, if it weren't for the truly massive debt, and bullying of other countries to do what our "leaders" want, America would be one of the most desirable countries to live in.
