ANWR has an estimated 10 billion barrels of recoverable oil. That's worth over $1 trillion at today's prices!

Oil production from ANWR would merely replace the production decline from Prudhoe Bay. Similar situation with the offshore areas in the lower 48 states.

IMO, you need a whole new paradigm if you want to become "energy independent". BTW, there's some good news in those high energy prices...

Most interesting charts Michael....and of course, we can all hope that GWB will do just as you suggest. The odds are he won't, but again....Leadership is needed!

Between the oil and gas prices soaring, along with food costs, soon all the other goods and services we use and that support the economy will falter. Then what?
