The GW religious fanatics are quite pervasive in academia and quite effective and indoctrinating the young minds.

What is amusing is that you call people who believe that scientists who have intensively studied something for over 30 years might actually be right "GW religious fanatics." And you think of yourself, I suppose, as oh so rational because, apparently, you don't "believe" in "that stuff."

My opinion about climate change has zero to do with "religion." And I will junk the opinion in a heartbeat if the evidence turns against it. I have no personal investment in its being true.

Unlike, I suspect, you and some of the others on this board who will never junk your own, shall we say, "religious belief" in an allegedly "free market" and the laws of supply and demand as actually controlling things (drum beat, roll eyes at the young man's utter naivette, imagine that, questioning whether supply and demand might not be the explanation for everything!)....

Neo, you are permitted to jump in to this little exchange.

Yes, indeed they are. And not just in GW but many other forms of political correctness and the tenets of liberalism. And it is doing great damage to young impressionable minds.

Enough already with this. If you wish to have a full throated debate on this point, let's do it. If Dale is willing.

Otherwise, when you take cheap shots like this one, document them.

Such phrases as "GW religious fanatics", "indoctrinating", and "doing great damage to young impressionable minds," are all cheap shots and clearly show you have no idea what is actually happening in higher education. It's fairly complex, as Karen wish to remind us often. But it's definitely not a monolith.

So make your case that the dominant thing that happens in higher education is the above; not that you can illustrate this a few incidents.
