This was May 2006. Eight years from now, I expect Gore to move the goalposts and claim that the actions spurred on by his movie saved the planet.

When newt gingrich sits down with nancy pelosi to make a commercial, is there really any doubt that what gore is doing is having a profound impact on how people feel? He is among your descendent's better friends and you don't even know it.

"What kind of "science" would support the claim that we have ten years left before it's too late?"

The above is what you said and what I asked you to prove.... What you presented is not that statement at all and even with the correct passage directly in front of you, you attempt to sneak by with the most negative message. You intentionally left the crux of the statement out of your charge,ie "But Gore sees that as a reason for urgency, not despair. You also posted the message as a quote of Al Gore's which it is not.

In the following is a real Gore quote;

"The heart of Gore’s message is that the way to prevent the potential catastrophe global warming represents is for each of us to make a personal commitment to bring about lasting change—in our own lives, our communities and the world. According to the science Gore presents so expertly, the world has 10 years or less to turn things around before it is too late. But Gore sees that as a reason for urgency, not despair.

“We no longer have much time left to change,” he says, “but we do have time.”
