True, this could be a problem. That is why they plant their corn usually on a split between the high(er) land and also on the more fertile riverbed land, near the Mississippi R. So, they should do OK at worst. They also only sell out usually half by this time of year. Good ole ag econ class teaches this type of risk protection. They can make up for it on the Roundup Ready beans to a certain extent. They also use the adage, bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered. They are not into pigs, hogs or related swine. Hedging ultimately is the name of the game. One can lose a farm that way.
