We are still collecting them and keeping them in Iraq and Afghanistan. Several hundred baddies were just busted out of a jail near Kandahar.

The irony is that we are at "war" in Afghanistan and Iraq but we are allies with the host governments, and no official declaration of war has been passed against any of their neighbors.

So we are at "war" with domestic unrest in another sovereign jurisdiction, one of whose symptoms is violent terrorist activity.
