However, I do have feelings for children and future generations. About them I care. We need leaders who think and act along those terms. What we've done and are doing to the planet is a travesty. I recently visited the Yucatan with an archeologist who was a Mayan and he described quite vividly how the mayans who live in the jungle are in exquisite harmony with Nature, take great efforts to preserve the ecological balance. Really brought home Edward Wilson's famous quote that 'Civilization was purchased by the betrayal of Nature'
