When our Missy picked us at the SPCA, she was all of 15 lbs. She had been found floating down a street during the Allison floods. It was clear she spend a good number of days if not weeks out on the street prior to that. Missy is a flat coated retreiver with some white on her toes and a white spot on her chest. According to the SPCA, she was probably considered unacceptable to her breeders and they dumped her. Missy has been in our family for 7 years now. I know she appreciates being with us as much as we appreciate her.
