You are so right. The media really layed down on the iraq war. It is clear the newscasters were scared for their jobs! The one Canadian women??? was trying to tell the truth and then she disappeared. She was getting very popular with her candid inteviews.

The lone voice of truth for quite awhile was Michael Ware.

But I noticed something positive evolve which I believe gave us dems many of the seats we won by squeekers:

1) three or four weeks before the last election CNN really came down hard on the bush administration with programs like "broken governement" and this week at war and using Michael Ware, who does tell it like it is.

2) MSNBS: they made Dan Abrams director. He got rid of rita cosby and started to bring in the best and the brightest. he also apparenty gave Kieth Olberman the go ahead to lambast bush.

This trend has continued. Joe Scaroborough was put in a new time slot and surrounded by liberals. Joe seems like a guy who sort of knows the liberals have it right, but can't quite see it all the time. Mica and the rest humor him along. Joe is a pretty nice guy and trys.

They just got rid of tucker and replaced him with Dick Gregory, and have added intellectual giants like Rachel madow and the African American woman Michelle ?? and many others.

I keep wondeing of a liberal power group realized behind the scenes they needed to have a station to counteract Fox's mindless conservative propaganda.

Now we have David shuster, dick Gregory, chris mathews, Kieth Olberman and Dan Abrams all with very smart guests and the occaisional token conservative like tucker (who is not very smart, IMO) and the shmirk-lol.

Pat buchanan has been surprising. He keeps his right wing ideology at bay and pretty much sticks to political tactics.
