It's just been a long time since we've seen the possibility of having an intelligent person in the White House. We've been so impoverished with Bush as President that anyone looks great to us now. Then when someone truly gifted like Obama happens to come along at this time, we think he's a Super Hero in comparison to Bush. Small wonder.

I agree. What is even more wonderful is that his wife is just as smart as he is. That will be important. My ex (whom I remain friends with) is married to the past majority leader of our house of representatives. So I know the role a good wife plays helping her husband make decisions. I ran for the house myself. I am too liberal and it jsut sort of leaked out-lol. Won the primary 2 to 1 after the debates, but then the oil money came into my opponent by the bushel and smearing came in and I was doomed-lol. Glad I didn't win.
