... and a balanced budget amendment and border enforcement - both parties keep falling down on these issues at cost to the american tax payer.

Not really. The bill that TP pointed out benefited Enron more than anyone else. Now, who was Phil connected the most with who would have made out like a bandit with this bill?

His wife! Who, oddly enough, was on the Enron BOD. Now Jim more than likely got 10s of thousands of dollars in his campaign fund from the beneficiary of his bill. But Phil not only got that, he got millions of dollars that dropped into his own personal pocket because of his deal.

Granted, they are equivalent because both benefited in their campaign fund. But only one made millions of personal income because of it.
