2. When a legislator receives a discount on a loan it is more than suspicious, particularly if that person sits on a committee that is critical to the lender. When you talk about a "lousy point" you're talking about getting a low-interest loan in exchange for particular services. Add to that one of them actually lied about not "knowing" the big shot, and you have the makings of an ugly scandal. When you find something with which to hang them, let me know. Until then, its a tempest in a teapot and a witch hunt by a RNC operative desperate to prevent a total raid on the GOP come this November.
