Well, I can understand exhaustion, bitterness, comfortable with a reporter, all sorts of possible explanations for sharing that observation. However, Hillary Clinton has a long, well crafted public persona of someone who is very, very careful with her public statements.

I can simply find no politically smart scenario into which that works.

But that was true of much of the endgame of her campaign.
