Take a look at the NY Magazine piece. The author clearly thinks she has a major role to play if Obama wins; that the last stages of her campaign gave her a national identity with a large following. That's the kind of clout that would help her in the senate.

It's hard to evaluate the argument but it will certainly be interesting to see what happens over the next year or so.

If Obama wins and Hillary is not on the ticket, it's likely that the national spotlight will be out of her grasp permanently
