I've notice that with most of these newly created Pro-Fund shares in variant categories the double inversion rule has worked against most investors in trying to hedge positions or outright gain on presumed market peaks. Rule of thumb being; one should consider taking the opposite side of the trade when the market variant commodity in question has risen so much. To what degree,if any at all,might these Pro-Fund shares play in effecting future market outcomes? One could only wonder...
I would imagine based on this premise DUG has the potential to fall much further before any sustainable bounce gains momentum and turns the tide.
