Sam, The whole thing doesn't compute for me How about it being a clear signal in response to a veiled threat? All this move implies is that the Veep candidate will not be Hillary. I don't see anything distasteful in it, especially when Hillary has indicated she doesn't want it, and will only reluctantly accept it, if offered. They want to take their time over the selection, but want the Clinton campaign to get the message and move on. Of course, the media & the blogsphere will have a field day with it.
