after all the GOP is finished with it's 8 year run of destroying the Constitution, instituted complete spying on all Americans, GITMO, Iraq destruction, loss of much of Afghanistan, sending all the money we don't even have to Halliburton and the shoddy infrastructure of Iraq, and letting our own economy fall into the basement...let's distract everyone with weird stuff!...why not?
