mobileme is still a bit lost on me. I don't understand what is meant by "exchange for the rest of us". So I can't tell if this is another hobby or real net profit generator.

I do think a China deal would be a market mover without anyone thinking progressively about halo effects from which Mac sales will benefit.

Since .Mac customers will given access to MobileMe and .Mac is a worldwide service, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that MobileMe will be available internationally. In any case, to deliver on the push feature highlighted by Apple, it would have to work anywhere the iPhone goes.
