The bottom line is you don't know what Obama would try to do, and frankly, he doesn't, either, because he doesn't understand enough about the political environment (with merely 3 years experience as a Senator) to know what can even BE done.

The keyword in your post, however, is "subsidies". Any "solution" that involves significant subsidies is a non-starter, in that "subsidies" do not in any way improve the economics of a bad energy source. The economy still takes the hit.

As previously pointed out, the most promising alternative energy source -- wind -- is already getting off the ground -- and that is happening under Bush.

Your lack of understanding of this problem is nothing short of amazing.
