McCain just yesterday flip flopped on 50 mile drilling... as he has on almost all issues. I have no idea how you can believe a word the man says.

I think it is obvious that circumstances have changed and McCain recognizes this fact.

He certainly isn't flip flopping like Obama, who has shown that he'll do ANYTHING to get elected.

Is 50 miles a good distance? What about 25 miles. Would like them close enough so they are within easy boating distance.

Maybe if we had Americans pay for the "real cost" of everything, from K-12 education to free emergency room care, from air travel to the cost of saving the sucker fish and the California pocket mouse, we wouldn't have so many problems with debt, and everyone would turn into a libertarian.

Of course, I'd be happy if we could simply account for the "real cost" of Social Security, which Obama thinks can easily be paid for by raising taxes on all income above $250K by 12.5 percentage points.
