Now, if they just open it up and say, "take your time", it will probably take ten years. It would be critical to require production in the near term as a condition of the drilling to motivate drillers to move quickly.

Even if they could drill and begin producing that quickly ( not possible ), how would they get the oil to us? Do you know where Anwar IS?

A report done by the Bush administration that just came out this month says it will take ten years.........and not because of bureacratic red tape. You should read it.......you may learn something about what you so eagerly CONFLATE.
