When the general sentiment is so against stocks, example: GE then it is more likely that other large cap also begin to correct further: In that, the dow could go lower. Take all together, we might be in the first half of the correction.

OF coursem, the DJ could be meaningless: there are energy stocks whcih naturally go way up, these days, but reflect a smaller part of the economy.

On the other hand, the weak currency should keep asset prices up. This also includes stocks.
