Domestic energy production could be a fantastic issue simply from the jobs aspect. McCain's problem is his ANWR position. Frankly, if one was concerned about visuals ANWR would be least on the worry list as no one sees it. Also, we have a high certainty the oil is there. To me he is trying to have it both ways. In this case he was against it before he was for it - errr - some of it.

Very sad!

I am amazed that people here actually believe incremental drilling off our coasts will relieve gas prices. For every barrel you produce, Japan and China will still outbid you.
With stable demand, unless US oil production can match Saudi Arabia's, there will be no change in prices, but certainly less oil at home.

I believe high gas prices are a blessing to the American people, a big warning to change our wasteful ways.
