Because politicians are such wise investors of public money. Perhaps the republican ones that actually ran businesses and not the mostly lawyer class of democrats that only know how to find deep pockets and empty them.

I suspect it is that you think we need a command economy to invest money right. Then we could have alternative energy coming out our ears. Because politicians are such wise investors of public money. In this case we need the federal government to set the overall agenda, as they have successfully done so many times in the past. That's why I like taxing inefficient energy clients and incenting efficient energy clients. You don't have the government picking the technology, the marketplace does that. And that's where I differ from Obama, and every other politician that i know.
