Liberal Larry and Conservative Cal have had some financial reversals and find themselves mired in debt. They're both offered an opportunity for part-time work on their weekends which will add to their income. Conservative Cal says, "Sounds great. Sign me up for that. Every buck I make helps me out." Liberal Larry turns down the offer saying, "I can't earn my way out of this problem."

Whats the difference between the thinking of Liberal Larry and those who use the "We can't drill our way out of this problem?"

"Drill now, drill today..." are just Republican talking points... they don't solve the problem, not even close.

They've been saying it for over (the magic) "ten years" and would have already solved the problem if not for the democrats blinders.

To use a classic democrat plea - every little bit helps, or if it only produces one barrel. :-)
