No it wouldn't. We would be importing 61% of our oil instead of 62%. And the price of oil wouldn't have changed by a nickle.

This is stupid; it is the claim that was made by the same people who had us stop buying for the SPR.

We have massive untapped reserves available to us and if we were drilling in these areas we could surely come up with a few million bbls. If you think that wouldn't have a material effect on gas prices you are more clueless than even I thought.
