" energy independence by drilling for our own oil"

What do your words above mean ?? The US uses about 22 million barrels of oil per day.

It means they think they have "an issue" for the elections. No truth to it but that never mattered much.

Let me ask you the same question I ask of anyone who refuses to commit to any priorities. What do you think of gas being well above $4/gallon?

a) It's a good thing. People will be forced to conserve, alternative energy will become more viable, and we'll emit less CO2.

b) It's a bad thing. Inflation will rise, the economy will tank, people are forced to sacrifice to do basic things, and the only "winners" are the oil producers like Exxon and Saudi Arabia.

c) It's Bush's fault.
