The point is that your argument doesn't wash when you refer to people accepting the outcome of their own decisions.

They don't.

I understand what you're saying but...... if you treat people as children they will act as children....

That's a last refuge argument as well.

The last time this thread went down this "yellow brick road," I started by saying, "there are no good outcomes."

But eventually, we will learn to accept the "can live with" instead of pursuing the "good" that we cannot reach.
