Dodge will guaranttee $3 gas. At what point does paying $4,000 more for a car beat that? I bet the best buy out there now with gas at $4 is a used SUV if you factor the purchase price over a three or four year time period. I might go back the other way and make the case that we have to do a national policy on energy independence that works if gas prices go back to $3 as well as if it stays at $4. Maybe we shouldnt monkey with the tax system.
