There are six companies "supermajors", the largest non-government owned oil corporations.

Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips (1st, 4th, and 5th by revenue) are headquartered in the US.

Royal Dutch Shell, BP, and Total, are not.

Of course the real "supermajors" are the largest national oil companies. Companies like Saudi Aramco and Gazprom (Russia), control more oil and gas reserves than any of the "supermajors".
