If a politician stands up and says hey, I thought about this carefully and changed my mind, then we can look at his reasons and make our own decision about his wisdom.

But asserting one thing in contradiction to what one asserted in the past with no admission is just a flippin' and a floppin'.

McCain has such a long list of these that it could really hurt him in the fall. You can bet that list will be the script for more than a few commercials in swing states.
