The primary adversary of the US automakers are in many cases their own employees - before they get to fight their competitors...

Assuming this is true, and coming from you, I have my doubts but if, in fact, it is true, then it makes a hell of statement about GM. Here's a company where its employees hate their own company so much they want to damage it. The same company that provides them an income on which to live. It makes real clear how ineffective the unions must be in getting what their members want for their members to be this unhappy.

Thanks for the insight.

They used to put screws in parts of the car you couldnt get to to create permanent rattles. Remember those---they used to drive me crazy. Once someone found a coke can, planted somewhere in the car. I bought by first honda in 1988 and have continued to by Honda products ever since. My last GM car was an unmitigated disaster but it was pre-lemon law protection.
