The consitution was written over 200 years ago. Slavery was legal then because the peopel who wrot eth eocnsitution could nto figure out that just maybe slavery was too imooral. Now these peopel who could nto figurre out that slavery was bad may have missed one or two other things as well! We have evoloved intllecutally and culturally since then and we must recognize the new reality. Like letting women vote and not allowing racism. soem people cannto ahndle change. well life isi is change and we are becoming more civilized.Not allowing slavery is a civilized idea-lol. And letting women vote and nto allowing racism. Our country and culture are evolving as we awaken from our primoridal ignorance-lol. And so we need a smart congress and judical system to make the necessary updats to oru ocnsitution. Gradually and carefully. And not thinkgs liek banning gay marriage-lol.
