I understood you can't get NG. My comment was with regard to heating oil. I live in the NE and have a house originally heated by electricity. In the coldest months, Jan-Feb, we would close off all rooms except the kitchen and family room..didn't turn heat on in bedrooms until after school or work. So I converted to oil calculating that I could heat the whole house (4 bedrooms)during those months for about the same I was paying for electricity. I did not include the cost of the conversion. There is only one house in my neighborhood that is still all electric and they use a wood stove in the winter. This winter will find a huge increase in the number of folks using wood or wood pellets or something else.
The cost of fuel oil has skyrocketed to the point that there will( I predict) be a major crisis in this coming winter. I always waited for the lowest prices of the year (July) but after hearing of where prices were going, I filled up for 4.28/gallon (the cheapest I could find).
