The Euro is about 1.56 as in one dollar and 56 cents. That's a bit more than 50% more not double.

The dollar about .73 as in one dollar equals about .73 euros. Thats 27 percent less, not half. (Actually its more like .65)

You can say the Euro is worth 56% more that the dollar, or that the dollar is worth 27 percent less (actually 35 percent less) than the Euro. Either statement is accurate. You can't combine both. That's a silly error.
