<<<Do you wonder why the "natural" oil seepage has gone away over the recent years?

The same reason it's gone away at Galveston and South Padre beaches, that would be my bet: Tankers have stopped pumping out their ... bilges>>>

Aggie,

I am not familiar with Galveston beaches, etc. but I do know Santa Barbara beaches... and the absence today of oily globs of tar has nothing to do with passing tankers.
