If solar collectors are so good then why hasn't it been done more extensively? Experts I listen too say solar voltaics are far less efficient that the 50% you quote. BTW, I drove from Phoenix to California this week and passed 2 solar collector sites on the way in the Mojave. One just east of Barstow and one just west. I hope to see more. I see more companies jumping on the solar cell bandwagon too with Intel just announcing a solar cell spinoff.
