Kerry didn't fight the Swifties during the 2004 election because he thought his own record in Vietnam was above reproach. It's a different standard from the one he applied to other Vietnam vets back when he was accusing them of rape and pillage. This was called out by John O'Neill way back in 1971: wintersoldier.com It should have surprised no one that O'Neill would go on to write the book "Unfit For Command" on behalf of the Swifties.
