I don't read him that way (as a victim)- Michelle maybe. I think you may be projecting onto him from views of the people around him.

I am sensitive to that because I have occasionally been tarred on SI by the brush applied to some of my good friends with strong opinions, or on the basis of one post that somehow evolves into an entire political position. Kind of like, "Gosh, I don't like that ribeye" turns into "SHE HATES ALL MEAT AND WANTS TO FORCE US ALL TO BE VEGANS!"
