There is beginning to emerge circumstances that could turn the tide of the election. Last year when the Dems came to power they were desperate to lose quickly to avoid the current situation. The last thing they need is an improving situation in Iraq. They staked their strategy on a Iraq disaster that could be blamed on Bush. The next thing is the policy of NO on energy. High energy prices and a falling dollar due to BOP issues would be more ammunition to use against Bush and the Republicans. There now exists the possibility to turn the problem around on the issue of drilling. Perhaps the policy of NO can be turned into a policy of NO Obama. The plot is thickening.
