bobcor - I wonder if all those bounce mantras we learned in the Big Pump Up will be inverse in a true bear. I am asking myself this, as I am an ease-in-er (thirds are good). While I am waiting for the bounce to X, I wonder if Mr. Market is no longer doing X.

Don't we hate bad entry's though...
Only thing worse than a bad entry is a mistaken overview on what a bad entry is.

Just sayin'

Patron's suggestion - Just buy some Dec 09 leaps and call it a day..... - is, I think, a good one, I do this sometimes, especially when I expect to be busy and unable to watch events closely.

There is probably no ideal entry - just different degrees of closeness in guesstimating it via TA and other means. Say, 1/4 immediately, another 1/4 at 38%, another at 50 and then at 62%. Or, if the bounce doesn't get that high, add when it looks like breaking down, then add on bounces during tests of broken support, etc. Having a feel for the tape and being lucky helps a lot.

I like best "heuristic" situations, when I discover a setup at the time when it is mature, and there is no need to "stalk" it. That happens sometimes.

I know I'm not saying anything new to anyone here.... :)
