Very perceptive post.

" don't know why McCain is so tentative on the issues that are strengths for him, but this is another instance. Of course, the situation in Iraq is fragile, and he knows that -- so that could be off-putting."

Part of this may be that you don't reveal all of your cards at once. Obama has yet to name a VP and McCain has not named his.

As an observer, I am curious about Barrack Hussein Obama's strategy in going to Iraq close to the election.

After all of the work that has been accomplished in Iraq by the Bush Administration, the military and American Civilians plus those countries who served in Iraq----- why is Obama going?

Will he time his entrance into Iraq with anti-war demonstrations by his early campaign supporters.

How will he pay for this trip? Will taxpayers pay for his trip? Pay for a trip that is part of a Presidential Campaign? If so, I object.

The left media made sure the "War" is not the centerpiece, Global Warming , Health Care is. Even Immigration is on page 39......and it should be for MCCains stance......

MCCain will get smoked in Nov, not because he is the best candidate the Republicans threw out there, he is not, but because
the Republican party got lost, after Reagan.........and more than a flash lite is needed...............to find their way home....
