>>On some matters virtually everyone of sound mind agrees; including the owners.<<

maybe, maybe not. owners of restaurants get low ratings due to disagreements with the health department all the time. some even get shut down.

they have to do it anyways, and their "freedom" is, in fact removed. and for good reason.

unilaterally proclaiming a fact that disproves your free market theory doesn't make it so. it is extremely relevant to showing your theory as false. the free market didn't take care of this problem.

we have been focusing on customers, but the restaurant employees are probably the much bigger issue. a restaurant worker shouldn't have to work in a polluted environment, which is what they had to do before these laws were passed. company owners have been exposing workers to toxic products forever and the state often comes in to protect the workers.

this is no different.

do you support the freedoms of business owners to expose their workers to known cancer causing agents across the board if the owners, rightly or wrongly, think they can earn an extra buck doing so?
