I wrote and implemented 3 state plans and was the State Director of all three programs: alcoholism and drug abuse; emergency medical services and coordingating the Valdez oil spill for the Department of Health and Social Services for the Governors office. I used goals, objectives and methodology for each plan. My body is coverd with psychological trauma from the political battles-lol. My thesis in graduate school was systems theory. The economic problems in this country, IMO, are related to our using the wrong theory put forth by Milton Friedman and the neo cons; and simplistic and wrong headed thinking since the neo cons took power with Reagan in 1980. Their idea is pure capitalism needs no controls. What nonsense. In evolution unitl the 1950's there were two theories of evolution: Darwinan and Lamarkain. By 1950 scientists realized only Darwinian was valid. But the Russians used Lamarkain evolution and fell 30 years behind us in agricultural science. Wrong theory. We should have anticipated peak oil and been prepared for it. Whe should understand the influence lobbyists have in makeing unfair laws. After the New Deal, we prospered for decades. We need a new New Deal. I think gong forward food and fuel will help us climb out of this hole we find ourselves in. IMO, McCain just talks poitical nonsense. Obama I can see, engages in very sophisticated logic. And he knows what he does not know. We need a fair tax systems which does not favor the rich. And we must educate our children. I beleive the country should pay for anyone who wants to go through college. Nothing better for a strong economy and democracy than an educated populace.
